Heavy Duty Cushioned Ceramic
Heavy Duty Cushioned Ceramic Clutches are ideally suited to high performance applications. This is partly because ceramic clutches can absorb more heat than organic ones. In addition to this, a spring-loaded center in a cushioned button clutch provides a reasonably smooth transition when releasing the clutch, but still giving increased engine torque.
Heavy duty cushioned button clutch plates are made by riveting a segmented ceramic lining to the marcel segment of a sprung center clutch plate. The cushioning between the ceramic linings allows this style of clutch to have good engagement feel while providing the benefits associated with ceramic material.
